Does the world need another blog?

I need a project. I have plenty of knitting projects, a stack of cookbooks with dozens of recipes flagged, novels piling up on the Kindle. And yet, I need a project.

When it occurred to me to start a blog -- a very, very private blog -- I thought first about a knitting blog. But, really, does the world need another knitting blog? Maybe a cooking blog. But when you've drooled over the food porn that Pioneer Woman cranks out daily...well, who can compete? As for a book blog, why would I subject my taste in books to the scorn of more pretentious, er, literary readers?

Then I thought, why not a combo blog? I like all those things. In the language of the knitters, I *knit, cook, read and repeat from *. I have things I'd like to write about them. I'm not sure why I don't just write about them in a journal; maybe I just want to take on something new. Maybe I'm looking for a challenge. Maybe I don't need no stinkin' reason. It's MY blog. I'm not looking to score a book deal or get advertisers. I don't know that I even want anyone else to read it. We'll see.

On the blog to-do list: Talk to Richard about designing a masthead. Figure out how to take a decent photo. Commit to regular posts.

Commit??
